I was trying to come up with a nice KSplash theme for the latest KDE and found out there are quite a few options to do it, using different engines. The one that caught my attention is the Redmond engine, which allows you to do full screen splash themes.

Unfortunately, I realized that not all options for the Redmond theme work as described in the KSplash Documentation. Apparently the following options have no effect:

Welcome Text Position
Username Text Position
Action Text Position
Icon Position

I have reported the bug at bugs.kde.org, and hope to get a solution so that I can finish my masterpiece
